I am primarily a collage and mixed-media artist, drawing from life and from within. I often create collaged images with the prized comic books of my childhood collection. 

Sometimes I focus on themes such as ‘the hero’s journey’. I use icons and imagery from comic books to reinterpret and modernize ancient gods and lore. New heroes. 

I have a studio at 5th and Central in downtown ABQ, and have created several murals nearby as well. 

 Live figure drawing sessions are my favorite… it’s like going to the gym for artists. Inspiration comes during meditations while making ‘automatic drawings’, as well as when drawing from life, where it is more about capturing the 'feel' than the 'real'. I like to create art with my bare hands, with whatever tools are available... imperfect, human-made art with mistakes and blemishes!
